Question

What happens when April Fools and Palm Sunday coincide?
Does it make Palm Sunday a joke? Or does it make April Fools sacred?

  2. You have the profundity of a prince. However, two entirely different eventualities must not be blended in a single mishmash.

  3. It won't happen. I think. Calendars reset after 12 years. So if there was an April Fools Palm Sunday, we should've had it in the past twelve years.

    2. I won't save Garppy's random nonsequitur from its randomness, but let me try to rephrase what he said to make sense. Palm Sunday was on April Fools on 2007 but won't happen again for the next 84 years. This has nothing to do with the secular calendar and everything to do with ecclesiastical astronomy -- which sets Eastern as the first sunday after the Paschal Full Moon -- a modification from the direct connection with the Jewish calendar and Passover. The Gregorian calendar is under a 400 year cycle and under the Julian calendar principle 28, not sure where 12 comes from.
